These marks appear on products that are certified for both security and signaling functions. A typical example is a combination fire and burglar alarm system that is certified for both applications.

There are two mark options for UL’s security and signaling services

The UL Enhanced and Smart Marks for security and signaling certification appear.

An optional QR code may also appear in these marks.

The ULC Mark is issued by Underwriters Laboratories of Canada, a member of the UL family of companies. This mark is nationally recognized in Canada for many types of products, including building materials and fire protection and suppression products. It indicates compliance with Canadian standards, many of which have been developed by ULC. Consumers, regulators and insurers across Canada look for the ULC Mark as a mark of confidence in the safety of the products carrying it.

 These marks appear on drinking water products evaluated to drinking water standards. Marks for UL’s water quality Classification service can be found on drinking water treatment additives, drinking water treatment or filtration units, drinking water system components and materials, and distribution and plumbing products.

The UL Enhanced and Smart Marks for the United States and Canada for functional safety certification consist of:

• The basic Enhanced Mark
• SAFETY attribute
• FS attribute (abbreviation for Functional Safety)
• ISO country code of CA for Canada, US for the United States and EU for Europe, or no country code, depending on the requirements used for certification
• Unique identifier
• Optional QR code for the smart version

Additionally, these marks must be accompanied by a statement identifying the functional safety standard used for evaluation, the corresponding SIL, ASIL, PL or Class to which a product was evaluated, and the sentence “See installation manual for safety functions.”

A product name and issue/serial number or alphanumeric control number may also appear on a certified product.

UL’s marks for the gas-fired certification service appear on gas-fired appliances and equipment. These marks indicate a product’s compliance to nationally recognized gas standards, including UL, ANSI Z21/Z83 Series and CSA/CGA standards. Products carrying these marks have been evaluated to reasonably foreseeable hazards including both gas and electrical hazards. Gas-fired equipment evaluated to Canadian national standards is authorized to display the marks for Canada. Gas-fired equipment evaluated to both U.S. and Canadian standards may carry a combination mark.

- UkrSEPRO Certificate and Equipment Expert Review under the system of State Service of Mining Supervision and Industrial Safety (Gosgorpromnadzor) of Ukraine;

UkrSEPRO Certificate is a document confirming that the product produced by the specified manufacturer complies with all requirements of technical regulations and standards.

Quality Certificates issued for a particular service or product under certification system are called as Certificates of Conformity s. But, in accordance with recently adopted laws and technical rules some types of products are subject to obtain Technical Regulations Conformity Certificates.

There are two types of Ukrainian Quality Certificates: mandatory and voluntary.

- Voluntary Certification is performed by the manufacturer (customer) request if they want to confirm particular features of product or convince consumers in its high quality.

Conformity certification may be performed under UkrSEPRO system or other systems in accordance with requirements of the Technical Regulations.

For commissioning the products regulated by the State Health and Safety Supervision Authority (Gosnadzorokhrantruda) of Ukraine the Permit to Use in Ukraine shall be mandatory obtained. The expert organization shall make the Expert Conclusion in accordance with the form adopted by the Gosnadzorokhrantruda of Ukraine. Specified Procedure includes procedure for issuance and withdrawal of Permit to Use in Ukraine by the Gosnadzorokhrantruda of Ukraine and its territorial subdivisions. At that, the Permit for the equipment of foreign manufacturers shall be issued by the Gosnadzorokhrantruda of Ukraine. The Permit for the equipment of Ukrainian manufacturers shall be issued by territorial subdivisions. Permit to Use initially shall be issued by the Gosnadzorokhrantruda of Ukraine for three years. If no claims or complains registered the subsequent Permit to Use shall be issued for 5 years.

Action Message Format (AMF) is a binary format used to serialize object graphs such as ActionScript objects and XML, or send messages between an Adobe Flash client and a remote service, usually a Flash Media Server or third party alternatives. The Actionscript 3 language provides classes for encoding and decoding from the AMF format.

The format is often used in conjunction with Adobe''s RTMP to establish connections and control commands for the delivery of streaming media. In this case, the AMF data is encapsulated in a chunk which has a header which defines things such as the message length and type

ISO/IEC TR 29110-2-2:2016 provides a guide for developing a profile which is domain-specific for VSEs (Very Small Entities) business situation. It may be used by technical advisers, including consultants, to help VSEs on software process problems. It also provides a conceptual framework for standardized profile developers using the ISO/IEC 29110 series concept.

ISO 28640:2010 specifies methods for generating uniform and non-uniform random variates for Monte Carlo simulation purposes. Cryptographic random number generation methods are not included. ISO 28640:2010 is applicable, inter alia, by

• researchers, industrial engineers or experts in operations management, who use statistical simulation,
• statisticians who need randomization related to SQC methods, statistical design of experiments or sample surveys,
• applied mathematicians who plan complex optimization procedures that require the use of Monte Carlo methods, and
• software engineers who implement algorithms for random variate generation.

The first major change in ISO14644-1:2015 is the requirement to follow ISO 21501-4, which defines calibration and performance requirements of air particle counters. Many older air particle counters currently in use do not comply with this new requirement. Secondly, the number of required sample locations for the cleanroom validation/qualification process has increased significantly. The larger number of required samples vastly increases the number of associated paper records and manual data transcriptions and the subsequent risk of data loss/transcription errors.

As a result of these changes, all GMP cleanroom users will have to make changes to their cleanroom classification/re-qualification procedures to meet the requirements laid out in the new version of ISO 14644-1. Furthermore, it is possible that the required new classification sampling plan may affect the reported cleanroom class and some cleanroom owners may have to make changes to their cleanroom and the HVAC system to return to the required Class/Grade.

ISO/TS 17915:2013 describes methods of measuring temperature, injected current dependence and lasing spectral line width in relation to semiconductor lasers for sensing applications. ISO/TS 17915:2013 is applicable to all kinds of semiconductor lasers, such as edge-emitting type and vertical cavity surface emitting type lasers, bulk-type and (strained) quantum well lasers, and quantum cascade lasers, used for optical sensing in e.g. industrial, medical and agricultural fields. ISO/TS 17915:2013 is an application of ISO 13695, in which the physical bases are explained.

The CSA sanitation mark

SO/IEC 29109-7:2011 specifies elements of conformance testing methodology, test assertions, and test procedures as applicable to ISO/IEC 19794-7. ISO/IEC 19794-7 defines two data interchange formats for signature/sign time series data, one for general use and one compact format for use with smart cards and other tokens.

ISO/IEC 29109-7:2011 establishes

• test assertions of the structure of both signature/sign time series data formats as specified in ISO/IEC 19794-7 (Type A Level 1 as defined in ISO/IEC 29109-1),
• test assertions of internal consistency by checking the types of values that may be contained within each field (Type A Level 2 as defined in ISO/IEC 29109-1), and
• test assertions on the contents of data records in the signature/sign time series data formats as specified in ISO/IEC 19794-7 (Type A Level 3 as defined in ISO/IEC 29109-1).

ISO/IEC 29109-8:2011 specifies elements of conformance testing methodology, test assertions, and test procedures as applicable to ISO/IEC 19794-8:2006.

It establishes

• test assertions of the structure of the finger pattern skeletal data format as specified in ISO/IEC 19794-8:2006 (Type A Level 1 as defined in ISO/IEC 29109-1:2009),
• test asssertions of internal consistency by checking the types of values that may be contained within each field (Type A Level 2 as defined in ISO/IEC 29109-1:2009).

It does not establish

• test of conformance of Common Biometric Exchange Formats Framework (CBEFF) structures required by ISO/IEC 19794-8:2006,
• test of consistency with input biometric data record (Level 3),
• test of other characteristics of biometric products or other types of testing of biometric products (e.g. acceptance, performance, robustness, security),
• test of conformance of systems that do not produce ISO/IEC 19794-8:2006 records.
